12/2/2009 - VICTORIOUS
The Vardar U-11 girls defeated LFS-Shooting Stars 2-0 on Tuesday night to claim the SLYSA Division 1 crown. Brittany and Karlie netted goals and Jenna earned her third shutout of the season in the win. The U-11 girls finished the Fall campaign with a record of 14-6-2(7-2-1 in league play) to win the SLYSA Division 1 Championship outright. Congratulations to Jenna, Haley, Cassidy, Kacie, Kailey, Mackenzie, Cooper, Karlie, Mariah, Georgie, Kennedy, Rachel, and Brittany and their families for an outstanding season. Well done, girls.
10/26/2009 - CHAMPIONS
The Vardar U-11 Girls won the Championship of the Wolf River Classic in Memphis, TN this past weekend. The girls went 4-0 to win the Championship by outscoring their opponents 16-1. Rachel led the attack netting 5 goals with Karlie close behind with 4. Georgie had 2 goals and Brittany, Cooper, Mackenzie, Mariah, and Kennedy each tallied one. Jenna was outstanding in net and the defense was tremendous with Cassidy, Haley, Kailey, and Kacie shutting down the opponents. Way to go girls.....
9/22/2009 - U-11 Girls Compete Well at Gateway Shootout
The Vardar U-11 Girls showed great signs of improvement in the Gold Flight of the rain-shortened Gateway Shootout this past weekend. They opened play with a 2-1 victory over the SLSG-Boca Jr.'s and concluded Saturday's action with a 6-0 loss to SLSG-Aston Villa. The game was played a lot closer than the score indicates and we are very proud of how the girls competed against one of the best U-11 teams in St. Louis.
8/31/2009 - U-11 Girls Have Mixed Results at Norco Invitational
Vardar's U-11 girls went 0-2-1 this weekend at the Norco Invitational against some very good competition in the A flight. The girls opened with a 9-1 defeat against SLSG Manchester United and then had a 4-1 defeat against LFS-Kaver in the Saturday afternoon game. The girls fought back on Sunday for a 3-3 tie versus SLSG-Flamengo. Scoring goals this weekend were Mackenzie(2), Haley, Georgie, and Rachel.
8/19/2009 - Great Competition, Great Fun at Bino's Friendlies
The Vardar U-11 Girls kicked off the 2009-2010 campaign with a return trip to the Bino's Friendlies. It was a great weekend for all and the girls got some good competition in the final tuneups for the Fall season. The girls opened with a 5-2 victory over SLSG-Cadwall, but were outplayed by SLSG-Groark in an 8-2 drubbing. On Sunday, the girls were back at it in a 3-2 victory over fellow D1 squad Binos Red.
3/3/2009 - SLYSA Fall Schedules Are Posted
Home = WHITE KIT(white jersey, red shorts, white socks)
Away = BLACK KIT(black jersey, black shorts, black socks)
Please arrive 30 minutes prior to scheduled game time and always bring both uniform kits just in case.
Practice Kits:
Mondays--Red shirt, black shorts, red socks
Thursdays--Red or Gray Vardar Kit
Saturdays--Comfortable clothes for conditioning
